COLOMBIA OPORAPA ISNOS
from $22.00

Roast Level 5/10

Tasting Notes:

This selection offers a deeply comforting expression of coffee — generous, layered, and quietly indulgent. From the first fragrance, notes of malted chocolate, toasted walnut, burnt sugar, and warm toffee rise from the cup with a familiar richness that feels both nostalgic and refined.

On the palate, bittersweet chocolate and caramelized sugars form the foundation of the experience, unfolding into hints of cocoa powder, dark chocolate biscuit, dried citrus peel, and roasted hazelnut. A restrained brightness lifts the structure gently, adding balance and definition without distracting from the coffee’s enveloping warmth and texture.

The body is creamy and expansive, carrying flavors with remarkable persistence and softness. As the cup cools, deeper tones emerge — cocoa nibs, toasted grain, and faint dried fruit — lingering long after the final sip.

This is a coffee of pure pleasure and composure: approachable enough for everyday ritual, yet layered enough to reward attention. A quietly luxurious cup built on texture, sweetness, and the timeless harmony of chocolate and caramel.

Estate Notes:

From the southern reaches of Colombia’s Andean highlands comes a coffee shaped by steep mountain terrain, volcanic soils, and the quiet dedication of smallholder growers whose farms rise between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level. This selection was assembled through the El Bombo cooperative in Pitalito, a collective deeply rooted in the landscapes and traditions of Huila and Cauca.

The cup possesses an effortless harmony between sweetness, fruit, and structure. Aromas of panela, raw sugar, and warm caramel open into notes of ripe stone fruit, red berries, and delicate citrus, carried by a silky texture and luminous acidity. Beneath the fruit lies a comforting depth recalling honeyed grains, cocoa, and mountain florals, lending both richness and refinement.

What distinguishes this coffee is its sense of clarity and vitality. The sweetness feels natural and expansive rather than heavy, while the acidity offers lift and precision without sharpness. As the cup cools, subtle layers of tropical fruit, herbal florals, and polished sugarcane continue to unfold with remarkable transparency.

Elegant yet approachable, this is a quintessential expression of Southern Huila — vibrant, sweet, and quietly complex, with the poise and generosity that define the finest coffees of the Colombian Andes.
